RASC News Agency: In light of the humanitarian aid extended by both domestic and international institutions to assist the victims of the devastating earthquake in Herat, a newly established organization has launched a relief campaign to support those affected in the Kabul province.

During a press conference held on Thursday, October 19th, officials from the Kabul-based Mina Foundation unveiled their relief campaign, aimed at aiding earthquake victims in Herat. The campaign, which commenced two weeks ago, remains ongoing.

The organization’s representatives emphasized that they have successfully delivered aid packages to 200 affected families in Herat and are actively distributing them to those in need.

Ayisha Qazi, the founder of the Mina Foundation, addressed the media, announcing that the collected relief packages comprise an impressive five thousand sets of warm winter clothing, along with multiple hygiene kits for women and children.

Qazi stated, “Graciously donated by generous individuals, these five thousand sets of warm winter clothing and hygiene kits are being transported to Herat today. We urge for a nationwide relief campaign to be launched to assist the earthquake victims in Herat.”

It is important to note that previous relief campaigns have also been initiated to aid the victims in Herat. Numerous countries, including Iran, Japan, China, and Tajikistan, among others, have offered substantial assistance in these efforts.

It is crucial to highlight that the people residing in Herat province find themselves in a dire situation, with consecutive earthquakes having left them devastated and in urgent need of additional support from both domestic and international institutions.
