RASC News Agency: The Federation of Afghanistani Journalists in exile called for the interim Prime Minister of Pakistan to recognize the critical role that these journalists play in providing accurate information and exposing the truth to the world. They emphasized the importance of allowing them to continue their work without fear of persecution, as this would contribute to the promotion of freedom of speech and press freedom in Afghanistan.

The organization also requested that the Pakistani government provide necessary protection and support to Afghanistani journalists residing in Pakistan. They proposed the establishment of mechanisms and initiatives to assist these journalists in finding suitable employment opportunities, accessing education and healthcare, and integrating into the local communities.

In their letter, the Federation of Afghanistani Journalists expressed gratitude to the Pakistani government for hosting Afghanistani refugees and providing them with a safe haven during these challenging times. They highlighted the long-standing historical and cultural ties between the two countries and emphasized the importance of continuing this spirit of solidarity and compassion.

The fate of Afghanistani journalists in Pakistan remains uncertain as the government deliberates on its response. The international community, including human rights organizations and media advocacy groups, has also expressed concern and called on the Pakistani government to safeguard the safety and well-being of Afghanistani journalists who seek refuge in the country.

The ongoing situation in Afghanistan underscores the vital importance of protecting and supporting journalists in conflict zones and challenging environments. Their role in reporting on human rights abuses, corruption, and the realities faced by the local population is crucial in holding those in power accountable. It is hoped that measures will be taken to ensure the safety and security of Afghanistani journalists and to enable them to continue their invaluable work, free from fear and intimidation.
