RASC News Agency: According to a report by the World Food Program (WFP), as a result of budget cuts and a decrease in WFP’s humanitarian aid in Afghanistan, over 1 million mothers and kids have lost access to aid.

This organization posted on their X social media on Monday 2 October that “women are bearing the brunt of humanitarian aid cuts in Afghanistan.”

According to the group, unemployment and restrictions on women’s work imposed by the Taliban have led to the malnutrition of more than 4 million women and children, with more than 1 million women and children facing no nutritional assistance due to budget cuts.

As a result of the restrictions imposed by the Taliban on women working in domestic and foreign organizations, this group continues to exist in a society with limited livelihood options, which has resulted in an increase in the need for humanitarian aid.

In the meantime, aid groups have repeatedly warned of cuts in humanitarian aid in Afghanistan as a result of budget cuts.

In addition to the budget cuts, many aid agencies have reportedly suspended aid programs in Afghanistan because of the Taliban’s control over humanitarian aid and its failure to distribute aid to the people who really needy people.
