This organization added that gross violations of human rights, including the violation of the rights of women and girls in Afghanistan by the Taliban continue.
Amnesty International has emphasized the creation of an independent international accountability mechanism to hold accountable those responsible for human rights violations in Afghanistan.
The fighters of the Taliban group arrested Nada Parwani, one of the protesting women, along with her husband and child from Kabul city on September 19.
The local officials of the Taliban group have not officially commented on this arrest and have not explained the reason for the arrest of Parwani and his family.
The Taliban group has arrested and imprisoned protesting women many times before. This group also severely suppresses women’s protests and gatherings.
Despite the strong pressures of the Taliban group, protesting women hold protest rallies from time to time in closed places.
