RASC News Agency: Mahmoud, a young man from Farah province who scored first in the country’s national entrance exam this year, asked the Taliban group to cancel the ban on girls’ education.
Yesterday, September 4, Mahmoud told the media after announcing the results of the entrance examination: “In the past years, we saw that girls got top score more than boys, of course it was possible for them to score first if they were allowed to participate.”
He also added to the Ministry of Education under the control of the Taliban group: “When a man gets an education, only one man is educated, but when a woman gets an education, a society seems to be educated, so we request that serious attention be paid to the female class.”
He said that if Afghanistan does not have female doctors, engineers and teachers, the society will remain stagnant and will not progress.
It should be noted that the Taliban group has always imposed increasing restrictions and prohibitions on women and girls since their domination of the country. Women in Afghanistan under the rule of this group do not have the right to education, work and knowledge.
It should be mentioned that due to the restrictions and prohibitions of this group on the education of girls, girls were not allowed to participate in the national entrance exam this year.
It should be noted that during the last two years, the first general score of this national exam were two female students.
The restrictions imposed by the Taliban group on the lives of citizens, especially women, have been met with national and international reactions, but this group has not yet shown any flexibility in this regard.
