RASC News Agency: The Taliban group has imposed new restrictions on women’s travel to Band Amir National Park in Bamyan province.

The Minister of “Amr Bil Maruf” of the Taliban group announced on Saturday, August 26, that after these women cannot travel to Amir Band. However, the spokesman of the Taliban governorate in Bamyan said: “This restriction is only for women without a veil.”

Muhammad Khalid Hanafi, the Minister of “Amr Bil Maruf” of the Taliban group, in his speech, verbally announced the ban on women’s entry to Band Amir National Park.

He called the reason for this ban “not veiling” of women during recreation and sightseeing in Band Amir.

This official of the Taliban group added that women should travel “but traveling is not obligatory nor mandatory.”

Despite the fact that the Minister of “Amr Bil Maruf” of the Taliban group did not explain more about this ban; But after this speech, the media published the news of a complete ban on women’s travel to Band Amir National Park.

However, Saboor Farzan Saighani, the spokesperson of the Taliban group in Bamyan, has claimed in a call to the media that the ban on entering Band Amir is applicable only to “women without hijab”.

Saighani said that the forces of the Taliban group will prevent “women without hijab” from entering Band Amir; but “women with hijab” according to this group can travel to Band Amir.

After taking control of Afghanistan, the Taliban group has imposed extensive restrictions on Afghanistani women, these restrictions and prohibitions include all aspects of women’s lives, including education in schools and universities, travel, work, sports, going to resorts, and even their personal and family life.

Women have always protested these bans and restrictions and asked the international community to lift these bans by putting pressure on the Taliban group.
