RASC News Agency: As the restrictions imposed on the education of Afghanistani girls by the Taliban continued, the former president of the country once again demanded to open the gates of schools and universities to Afghanistani girls.
The former president of Afghanistan today, Saturday, August 19, in a message on the occasion of the anniversary of the restoration of the country’s independence, once again asked the Taliban group to open the gates of schools and universities to girls.
Karzai said that for peace and stability in the country, development and salvation from needing others, acquiring knowledge is a necessary and necessary thing and it can only be provided with the knowledge of this field.
He added: “I wish all the people of our dear country to do their best in the education of their children, including boys and girls, and on this historic day, I once again ask the Taliban to close the gates of schools and universities as soon as possible. “Open up girls and provide education for everyone throughout the country so that we can be truly independent and self-sufficient by freeing ourselves from the needs of others.”
Karzai is one of the figures who, along with other human rights defenders, has repeatedly asked the Taliban group to open the gates of schools and educational centers for Afghanistani girls, but this group has so far ignored the repeated requests of this authority and legal institutions.
It is worth mentioning that the Taliban group blocked the gates of schools for girls above the sixth grade after regaining control of Afghanistan, and in another measure prevented women from studying in universities.
