RASC News Agency: A human rights organization known as “Freedom Now” has said that two years after the Taliban group regained control, Afghanistan is the only country in the world where girls are prohibited from studying.
On Tuesday, August 15, this organization published a message on Twitter/X and said that women’s right to work has become more limited.
“Freedom Now” organization has asked the international community to make the interaction with the Taliban group conditional on supporting the rights of women and removing all the restrictions imposed on them by the Taliban group.
This institution added: “We stand in strong solidarity with the women of Afghanistan against the oppression of the Taliban.”
It should be mentioned that two years have passed since the Taliban took control of Afghanistan, and with each passing day, this group increases the restrictions against the social life of the country’s citizens, especially girls and women.
Currently, girls and women do not have the right to education, study and work.
Meanwhile, Angelina Jolie, the famous American actress and former special representative of the United Nations, in a letter addressed to Matiullah Wisa, an activist for the right to education in Afghanistan, who is currently in the custody of the Taliban group, has appreciated his efforts to strengthen the education of children in Afghanistan. .
By supporting Wisa’s release as soon as possible, Jolie has expressed her belief in the “unlimited potential of the youth in Afghanistan” and has emphasized their pivotal role in shaping the country’s destiny and global outlook.
“With the utmost humility, I join the voices calling for your freedom, to empower you to pursue your important endeavors, and to remove all barriers to girls’ education,” she wrote in the letter.
Matiullah Wisa was the head of “Rah Qalam” association and the head of a campaign in the field of defending the right to education, which was mostly active in the eastern and southern provinces of Afghanistan.
