RASC News Agency: Officials in the Rehabilitation and Development Department of Ghor Province confirm that they have distributed food to 5,533 needy families.
Zabihullah Ghosizada, the press officer of the Department of Rural Rehabilitation and Development of Ghor Province, said that this food aid was distributed to needy families by the World Food Organization (WFP) with the technical cooperation of the Institute (MHCO) and in coordination with this department.
He said that these aid packages included (flour, oil, bean, chickpeas, salt and fortifying ingredients), which were distributed to them after surveying and identifying the needy people in Lal Sarjangal district of this province.
Residents of Lal Sarjangal district of Ghor province welcome the distribution of these food aid and ask the relief organizations to provide more assistance to the poor and needy families in this province.
Meanwhile, the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) had recently warned of an increase in the number of people in need.
It should be mentioned that (OCHA) announced that Afghanistan is in the third year of drought and they are facing threats from natural disasters.
Meanwhile, the number of people in need of humanitarian aid in Afghanistan has increased significantly.
It is mention able that, after the Taliban group got control of the country, unemployment and poverty increased. In this case, needy people highly increased and people are looking to the humanitarian aids.
On the other hand, the Taliban group do not have any plan and wisdom to think about these needy families, which can solve their problems in the future.
