RASC: According to local sources in Takhar province, some members of the Taliban group are committing armed robberies in this province.

According to the sources, a group of Taliban fighters under the support of Qari Waqas, one of the senior commanders of the Taliban group in Takhar, are committing armed robberies at night around the city of Taleqan.

Sources add, last week, this group looted the house property and two hundred thousand Kabuli/Afghani rupees of one of the citizens of Taleqan in the area of the sixth district of “Younus Abad”.

Sources have added that on August 1, this group also stole property from a number of passengers of a passenger bus in the village of Shirsiyah, Qulbars region, from the second security area of Taleqan city.

It is said that after the occurrence of inter-group differences, two of the Taliban group were arrested by another group of the Taliban group in that area.

The sources mentioned the arrested people as Mohammad Azam and Obaidullah and say that these people are residents of Qulbars village in Takhar province.

The Taliban group has not yet commented on this matter.

This is despite the fact that a number of citizens in different parts of the country have claimed that the Taliban group is looting people’s property in the guise of thieves.

Some time ago, reports were published from Charikar city of Parwan that members of this group had robbed a shopkeeper in this city.

It should be noted that with the re-domination of the Taliban group over the country, the social order and peace of mind of the people have been disturbed in many provinces of the country.
