RASC: According to reports, Peruvian authorities say they have rescued 23 Afghanistani citizens from human traffickers at the Brazilian border.
The Office of the Attorney General of Peru said that the authorities rescued these 23 Afghanistani citizens from migrant smugglers on the way to the border with Brazil on July 9.
According to the prosecutor, these migrants were trying to be transferred to Ecuador and from there to the northern border by paying money to human traffickers.
But human traffickers had lured them to a house without food in the village of Inapari in the Madre de Dios department on the way to the border between Peru and Brazil, the prosecutor’s office said in a statement.
It is said that there are four children among them, including a two-month-old baby.
Peruvian prosecutors have not said anything about the amount of money the migrants paid the smugglers.
It should be noted that after the disastrous withdrawal of America from Afghanistan, the fall of the previous regime and the failure of the world to address the people’s problems, thousands of people have left the country and are looking for a safe place.
It should be mentioned that the re-control of the Taliban group over the country has led to the displacement of many citizens due to various reasons.
