Based on a statement issued by the Taliban Ministry of Industry and Commerce, Nuruddin Azizi, the acting minister of this Taliban ministry, had a meeting in Kabul with Arman Yaseen Tayuf, the representative of the International Chamber of Commerce of Kazakhstan in Afghanistan, on Monday, November 20.

The Taliban group ministry’s statement states that an agreement has been reached in this meeting regarding the establishment of the International Chamber of Commerce of Kazakhstan in Afghanistan. According to the statement, the two sides discussed the progress of establishing the Kazakhstan Trade House in Afghanistan and the cooperation of Mr. Yaseen Tayuf in creating the Afghanistan Trade House in Kazakhstan.

Furthermore, the statement mentions that during this meeting, the two parties also exchanged views and discussions on introducing reputable Kazakhstani companies for better and increased trade with Afghanistan, establishing transit facilities for goods between the two countries, and removing barriers to trade visas for businessmen of both countries. Meanwhile, with the Taliban’s control over the country, the level of trade between Afghanistan and the world has significantly decreased, which has had a negative impact on the economy of Afghanistani citizens and the trading activities of businessmen.
