RASC: Children’s rights organization has recognized Afghanistan as one of the worst countries in the world from the point of view of children’s rights.
The Kids Rights Organization, which is based in the Netherlands, published this report on Monday, June 26, and said that Afghanistan, South Sudan and Chad are the worst countries in terms of children’s rights.
This organization pointed out the prohibition of girls’ education in Afghanistan and ranked this country 191 out of 193 countries.
The Kids Rights Organization’s annual index, which measures respect for children’s rights, has identified Sweden, Finland and Iceland among 193 countries as the best countries for children.
According to the Children’s Rights Index report, it is estimated that in 2023, one out of every four children worldwide will live below the poverty line.
This organization added that the war in Ukraine has caused more children around the world to live in poverty and starve.
According to this institution, several crises, such as the war in Ukraine, climate change and the corona virus epidemic, have increased the pressure on children.
This is despite the fact that children’s rights organizations have always expressed concern about the bad situation of children in Afghanistan.
Following the rise of the Taliban group in Afghanistan, schools were closed to girls above the sixth grade. Despite the repeated demands of the international community, this group has not yet shown a desire to reopen girls’ schools.
