RASC: Local sources in Kandahar province told RASC that a 14-year-old boy in Maiwand district of Kandahar province hanged himself and ended his life.

According to the sources, this fourteen-year-old boy named Ahmadullah committed suicide in “Khak Chopan” village, Maiwand district, Kandahar province, on Saturday, June 25.

Sources add that this fourteen-year-old boy hanged himself with a rope in his home and ended his life.

Mawlawi Saber, the spokesman of the security commander of the Taliban group in Kandahar, also confirmed this news and said that the reason for the suicide of this fourteen-year-old boy was mental illness.

It should be noted that with the re-emergence of the Taliban group in Afghanistan, the number of suicides and mysterious murders has increased unprecedentedly, and the cause of most suicides is said to be economic problems and poverty or neurological and mental illnesses.
