RASC: According to the farmers in Nahr Saraj district of Helmand, this year, due to the decrease in the price of wheat, they cannot receive what they have spent.

Gran, one of the farmers in Nahr Saraj district has complained about the drop in the price of wheat. He also says that he is unable to meet the needs of his family.

In addition, he had rented all the agricultural tools, which now he cannot pay for them if there are no provisions and he has to travel to other provinces or Iran.

On the other hand, some residents of Helmand are happy with the decrease in the price of wheat and say that if the price increases, they will not be able to buy wheat.

At the same time, the local officials of Helmand announce the creation of a suitable market to maintain the balance of supply and demand of agricultural products.

Mohammad Qasim Riaz, Deputy Director of Information and Culture of Helmand, says: “In the agricultural sector, there are some other agricultural products such as saffron, basil and cotton, which are being worked on to create a market for them, and factories will be established to process them.”

The passage of time will determine when Helmand officials will actually implement their plans.
