RASC: Local sources in Zabul Province say that the Directorate of Information and Culture of the Taliban group in this province has changed the names of three large and famous intersections in Zabul Province in to their members of this group.
Local sources on Sunday, May 14, say that the general intersection of Zabul province and the intersections of General Asif Tokhi and General Abdul Razeq are among the places that the Taliban group has renamed. The Taliban group has named the public intersection of Zabul Province as Mullah Madad, General Asif Tokhi intersection as Mansoori, and General Abdul Razeq intersection as Abu Dujaneh.
According to sources, the intersections that renamed by the Taliban group in Zabul are famous places with their previous names, but the Taliban group changed them to the names of members of this group. Changing the names of places by the Taliban group in Zabul province and other provinces is not unprecedented.
This group has previously renamed the park called Nakamura in Zabul province university campus to Mullah Rozi Khan Akif. In addition, the Taliban group has changed the intersection of Bagram on the Kabul-Parwan highway in the name of Mullah Hassan, one of the suicide bombers of this group.
