RASC: Local sources in Panjshir province say that the Taliban detained at least 70 residents of this province for several hours and transferred them to their group’s camp.

Sources say that the Taliban arrested these people in the morning of Monday, June 5, from the “Qash-Draz Parangal Sangi Khan” area of Abshar district and released some of them again in the evening.

According to the sources, at least 15 of the arrested people are still in Taliban custody.

One of the local elders of Abshar district said: “The Taliban attacked scattered fires using light and heavy weapons in the middle of Sunday night, but in the morning they stormed the houses and arrested the local people.”

He added: “Taliban fighters are persecuting people under various pretexts, and they demand money and weapons from them.”All the shots were from themselves, not from any other group.”

The Taliban have not said anything about this so far.

Some time ago, the residents of Abshar district accused the Taliban of planting mines in some mosques and said that this group is arresting local residents under this pretext.
