RASC: Local sources in Herat province say that the Taliban group killed a former soldier in this province in the “worst way”.

These sources said on Thursday, June 1, that this former soldier’s name was Jamshid and he was a resident of “Farsi” governorate of Herat province.

A relative of this former soldier said that Jamshid was a soldier of the National Security Directorate of the former government in Herat and had returned to this province from Iran about a month ago.

He added that this former soldier was arrested by the intelligence of the Taliban after returning to Herat, and his body was handed over to his family on Monday, May 29.

According to this source, the Taliban group killed Jamshid in the “worst way” and “broke his arms and legs”.

The cause and motive of the killing of this former soldier has not been clarified until now, and the local officials of the Taliban group in Herat have not said anything in this regard.

Since the Taliban regained control of Afghanistan, they have been repeatedly accused of deliberately killing former military personnel in various provinces, including Herat.
