RASC: Khalid Qadiri, a former journalist and one of the prisoners released from the prison of the Taliban group, quoted sources as saying: The Taliban group shot Alia Azizi, the head of the women’s section of Herat prison, minutes after her arrest, for the crime of promoting prostitution.

In October 2021, after receiving a phone call from a Taliban official in Herat province, Alia Azizi left her office and never returned home.

Earlier, news sources told the media that Alia Azizi left her office after a phone call from Mawlawi Zarif Hussaini, the commander of the Taliban group and head of the Herat detention center, and there is no information about her until now.

Alia Azizi worked in the Ministry of Interior of the previous governments of Afghanistan for 19 years, and when the Taliban took over Afghanistan on August 15, 2021, she stayed at home. However, the Taliban group called her several times and asked him to resume his work at the Herat Police Department.
