RASC: Sources in the city of Mazar-i-Sharif have told RASC that the Taliban attacked the Safi private school in this city on Tuesday, May 16, and ordered its closure and took the school principal with them.

According to these sources, the Safi private school, which has students up to the 12th grade, has been secretly holding some classes for girls at the secondary and higher levels after the decree banning the education of girls above the 6th grade.

It is said that a delegation from the Ministry of Education of the Taliban group in the city of Mazar-e-Sharif came to this school along with the armed forces and tried to inspect each classroom.

A well-informed source told RASC: “The Taliban arrested the principal of the school, who prevented the armed forces from entering the classrooms, and ordered the school to be closed.”
