RASC News Agency: Sources in Kabul report that a young man from Panjshir province was executed by three masked gunmen in the Kart-e Parwan neighborhood of the capital. According to eyewitnesses, the assailants stormed the victim’s residence, falsely claiming they were conducting a house search, before entering his room, executing him in cold blood, and swiftly fleeing the scene. The victim has been identified as Faramarz Karimiar, a native of Zaneh village in Hesa Awal district, Panjshir province. Sources indicate that at approximately 8:00 PM on Wednesday, February 12, three armed men, their faces concealed, infiltrated Karimiar’s home and shot him multiple times before disappearing into the night.
Relatives of the deceased state that Taliban forces have since detained two individuals in connection with the murder, yet the group’s security officials in Kabul have remained conspicuously silent on the incident. This brazen assassination follows a spate of similar attacks just last week, two other Panjshiri residents were gunned down in Kabul. The Taliban are widely accused of orchestrating such extrajudicial killings, particularly targeting individuals from Panjshir, a province historically known for its resistance against their rule. Reports of murders and the discovery of mutilated bodies have become daily occurrences across Afghanistan, further fueling public fear and uncertainty.
Despite the Taliban’s repeated claims of restoring nationwide security, violence, assassinations, robberies, and bombings continue to escalate. Just this morning, reports emerged from Herat, where the body of a young man was discovered hanged, adding to the growing alarm over the country’s deteriorating security landscape.
