RASC News Agency: The Tajik Watch organization has officially announced its establishment and commenced operations. On Sunday, December 1, a group of intellectuals and academics from various Tajik regions unveiled this initiative. The organization’s leaders stated that Tajik Watch has been founded with a carefully drafted charter, bylaws, a distinctive logo, and other essential administrative frameworks. Its primary objective is to protect and promote the historical, cultural, linguistic, and identity values of the Tajik community. Moreover, the organization aims to formulate comprehensive strategies to strengthen Tajik representation in political and power structures.
Through a quasi-parliamentary framework, Tajik Watch seeks to maintain regular consultations and collaborations with other Tajik organizations and intellectuals. Its goal is to engage in discussions, exchange ideas, and devise effective strategies to safeguard the interests of Tajiks. The organization aims to present actionable solutions to enhance the welfare and collective power of Tajik communities.
In its inaugural statement, Tajik Watch declared:
“Over the past century in Khorasan/Afghanistan, Tajiks have endured numerous political and military challenges. However, the absence of a cohesive vision and strategic planning tailored to Tajik interests has hindered their ability to systematically protect their rights. Consequently, Tajiks have faced significant setbacks and now find themselves in a precarious position, both in terms of their political presence and their standing within society, governance, and culture.”
The organization reaffirmed its commitment to the rights and dignity of all while denouncing deceitful or submissive conduct. “We will advocate for our rights with integrity and will not resort to dishonorable or malicious behavior,” the statement emphasized.
The leadership of Tajik Watch urged all Tajiks to join forces in building a bright and prosperous future for their community. It invited individuals to share their ideas, proposals, and constructive critiques with the organization, fostering a spirit of collaboration and mutual progress.
