RASC News Agency: The bodies of five former Afghanistani soldiers, found hanged, were discovered in the Chagai district of Balochistan, Pakistan. According to sources, these five individuals were residents of Nader Ali district in Helmand province, Afghanistan. They had served in the police command of Nader Ali during the previous Afghanistan government.
The deceased have been identified as Rozi Khan, Samiullah, Sangari, Ishaqzai, and Rahmatullah. Following the collapse of the Afghanistan Republic, these individuals reportedly traveled to Balochistan, Pakistan, in search of work. While the perpetrators behind these killings remain unknown, it is noteworthy that Jaish ul-Adl, an anti-Iranian government group, had previously sentenced them to death, accusing them of collaborating with the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).
In recent months, Jaish ul-Adl detained a group of 12 individuals, later issuing a statement claiming that some of them were former Afghanistani soldiers collaborating with the IRGC. These individuals were eventually released. However, five of these former Afghanistani soldiers were recently found dead in Pakistan, though the identity of their killers remains unclear.
Since the Taliban’s takeover of Afghanistan, hundreds of former Afghanistani soldiers have sought refuge in Pakistan and Iran, fleeing from the threat of Taliban arrest, poverty, and unemployment. Yet, even in these countries, they remain unsafe, as local police frequently detain and deport them.
Human rights organizations have previously warned that the lives of many former Afghanistani soldiers are at risk under Taliban rule. The German government, in a recent statement, emphasized the urgency of supporting these individuals.
