RASC News Agency: Local sources from Faryab province report that a traffic accident on the Faryab-Jawzjan highway resulted in the deaths of nine individuals and left three others injured. Sources informed the media that the accident occurred on the afternoon of Saturday, August 3, in the Khan Charbagh district of Faryab province.

According to these sources, the accident involved a collision between a Saracha-type vehicle and a Corolla-type vehicle, resulting in the deaths of six men and three women. The injured were transported to the Andkhoy district clinic for medical treatment. Local Taliban officials in Faryab province have confirmed the incident, attributing the cause to driver negligence.

This incident comes amid a series of recent fatal traffic accidents reported across various provinces. In the latest incident, a traffic accident in Bamyan province claimed the lives of three men and two women, while injuring two others. Additionally, a day prior, a traffic accident in Kapisa resulted in the deaths of three women and two men, with three others sustaining injuries.

Driver negligence, poor road conditions, excessive speed, difficult terrain, and unfamiliarity with certain routes are cited as common causes of these traffic accidents.
