RASC News Agency: In its latest statement, the Freedom Front has underscored the vital importance of Iran’s support and alignment in rescuing Afghanistan from the grip of Taliban oppression. The Front declared that this support is essential for the future security and stability of both Afghanistan and the broader region.

The Freedom Front made this announcement on Saturday, July 6, following the election victory of Masoud Pezeshkian in Iran’s presidential elections. They emphasized the profound and undeniable cultural, religious, and historical ties between Afghanistan and Iran.

According to the Freedom Front, Iran has played a significant role in Afghanistan’s developments over the past half-century. They are now seeking the support and solidarity of the Iranian people and government to help liberate Afghanistan from Taliban control. The Front added, “The people of Afghanistan are enduring the most difficult phase of their contemporary history under the oppressive and regressive Taliban regime.”

The Freedom Front further noted that over the past four and a half decades, the people and government of the Islamic Republic of Iran have provided a second home for millions of Afghanistani refugees. The Front also mentioned that Iran has remained committed to this responsibility even after the fall of the Republic and the Taliban’s takeover of Afghanistan.

It is worth noting that following the Taliban’s takeover, a significant number of Afghanistani citizens have left the country due to economic and security issues, seeking refuge in neighboring and regional countries.
