RASC News Agency: Local sources from Badakhshan province have reported Taliban members conducting raids on residents’ homes in the Khawsh district. Sources informed the media on Wednesday, June 26, that clashes between Taliban members and residents of Kerz village in Khash district resulted in injuries to three civilians. According to sources, this confrontation arose from the Taliban’s arbitrary raids on homes.
Sources recount that after local Taliban members raided homes disrespectfully and without justification, residents resisted, leading to clashes. Local Taliban officials in Badakhshan province have yet to comment on this incident. It is noteworthy that such violent and arbitrary behavior towards civilians by this group is unprecedented. Previously, non-local Taliban members in Badakhshan province have faced accusations of arbitrary home raids, resulting in confrontations.
In a recent incident, Taliban members raided homes of residents in Darayim district of the province, allegedly aiming to destroy opium poppy fields, leading to a clash that claimed the life of one civilian. During their nearly three-year rule in the country, the Taliban have exhibited severe violence towards non-Pashtun ethnic groups and have frequently suppressed them.
