Young Man Dies from Lightning Strike in Takhar

RASC News Agency: Local sources from Takhar Province report that a lightning strike has claimed the life of a young man named Bilal Ahmad. Sources informed the media on Sunday, May 26th, that Bilal Ahmad, approximately 25 years old, was struck by lightning the previous day, resulting in his death and severe burns over his entire body.

 

According to the sources, Bilal Ahmad was a resident of the village of Kaftar Ali in the Yangi Qala district of Takhar. His brother, Merajuddin, stated that Bilal had been married for just five months. Merajuddin explained that Bilal had gone out with several workers to harvest wheat when the lightning struck, leading to his death.

 

This incident is not isolated, as lightning strikes in various provinces have previously resulted in fatalities. In the most recent case, three individuals were killed by lightning in Nangarhar Province. According to statistics, natural disasters this season have claimed thousands of lives and caused extensive damage to homes, land, and shops across various provinces.
