RASC News Agency: Rina Amiri, the United States Special Representative for Women’s Affairs and Human Rights in Afghanistan, recently stated that she urges the Taliban to lift the “paralyzing” restrictions imposed on Afghanistani women.
Ms. Amiri raised this issue on Saturday, May 11th, through a message on her social media platform, X, and also expressed solidarity with the victims of the recent floods in Afghanistan.
She added that these floods have claimed the lives of many individuals and caused significant damage to communities.
However, she emphasized that to combat the devastations of climate change, the Taliban must mobilize the entire population.
The recent devastating floods in Afghanistan provinces, especially in Balkh, have so far resulted in 80 fatalities and injuries, with children and women among the casualties.
