RASC News Agency: Local sources from Bamiyan province report that 14 individuals have been killed or injured as a result of a traffic incident in the vicinity of the province. Sources informed the media on Tuesday, Apr 2, that the incident occurred yesterday when a motorcycle veered off the road and plunged into a ravine.

According to sources, this incident took place in the border areas of the Punjab and Waras districts of the province, resulting in the loss of life of one child and injuries to 13 others. The occurrence of this traffic incident has been confirmed by the Taliban in Bamiyan, with Mohammad Khwani Rasa, the spokesperson for the security command of the group in Bamiyan, stating that among the injured are women.

Traffic incidents have previously resulted in casualties and injuries in several provinces, with the latest incident in Nuristan province leaving eight dead and injured. Factors contributing to traffic incidents include driver recklessness, failure to adhere to traffic laws, road defects, difficult road conditions, and some drivers’ lack of familiarity with the routes.
