RASC News Agency: Local sources from Farah province report that following a clash between Taliban members and civilians in the province, the group opened fire on three protesters. Sources informed the media on Monday, Mar 25, that the Taliban shot at three individuals from the residents of Kansk village in the Balabuluk district of Farah province.
According to the sources, as a result of the Taliban members’ shooting, these three individuals were wounded and transferred to healthcare centers in Farah province for treatment. The occurrence of this clash has also been confirmed by a source within the Taliban group in Farah province.
According to the source, this clash occurred due to government-owned lands where Farah residents have been farming for years. The source stated that the residents of Kansk village were cultivating government-owned lands when Taliban members intervened, leading to the confrontation.
Local sources noted that residents have been farming these lands for years, but the Taliban group declared last year that these lands belong to the government. After their takeover of the country, the Taliban have been accused of seizing thousands of acres of land and houses under the guise of “Emirate” lands in various provinces of the country.
