RASC News Agency: In response to the statements made by Hebatullah, the leader of the Taliban, Rangin Dadfar Spanta, a former advisor to the Afghanistan National Security Council, asserts: “The essence of the Taliban is defined by Hebatullah Akhundzada’s pronouncements, not by the assertions made by the lobbyists of this group.”
Yesterday, Spanta, on Sunday, Mar 24, articulated in his op-ed that internal lobbyists and certain foreign diplomats do not convey the truth. The former advisor to the National Security Council contends that Hebatullah possesses an advantage over politicians in other countries due to his candid and explicit expression of beliefs.
Spanta further remarks, “Regardless of how one tries to cloak Talibanism, its core remains aligned with the perspectives of Mullah Hebatullah.” He posits that genuine liberation can only be achieved when the populace mobilizes against this faction, echoing the persistent emphasis of Ahmad Massoud, the leader of the National Resistance Front of Afghanistan, over the past two and a half years.
It’s notable that the Taliban leader issues a warning to the world, stating that our interaction with you is far from over and is merely commencing. In his audio recording, he asserts, “I have engaged in conflict with the West for twenty years, and I shall continue to uphold its values for another twenty years.”
