RASC News Agency: The United States Institute of Peace has stated that the Taliban have fewer reasons to capitulate to Western demands regarding human rights and the establishment of a comprehensive government in Afghanistan under their control. The American Peace Institute addressed this matter on Friday night, March 15th, through a message on its social media platform.

The institution observed that the Taliban have succeeded in gaining new support from regional powers, including China. This occurs as the Taliban, following their seizure of power, have enforced numerous restrictions on women and citizens’ freedoms through the issuance of multiple decrees.

Throughout their two-and-a-half-year rule, the Taliban have disregarded all calls from the international community for the establishment of an inclusive government and the respect of human rights, particularly the right to education for girls and women.

Despite their lack of action in this regard thus far, the Taliban have consistently justified their violent and oppressive measures, citing religious reasons.
