RASC News Agency: According to local sources from Maidan Wardak Province, the Taliban group, continuing its public punishment of suspects, recently sentenced 10 individuals in this province in a public gathering. Sources informed the media that after dinner on Wednesday, Mar 6, eight men and two women were publicly punished on the Taliban’s security command road in this province, in front of hundreds of people.

According to sources, the Taliban court accused these individuals of “extramarital relationships and misconduct” and publicly whipped them. The occurrence of this news has also been confirmed by the Taliban’s high court, adding that the imprisonment period for these individuals had been completed, and they were publicly whipped in a ceremony. This comes as the Taliban group has previously publicly punished suspects, and in the latest incident a few days ago, this group executed three individuals in Ghazni and Jawzjan provinces in a public gathering.

The public punishment of suspects by the Taliban group has drawn domestic and international reactions, with human rights organizations repeatedly emphasizing the observance of human rights and the prohibition of public executions. However, despite these criticisms and domestic and international reactions, the Taliban group continues to publicly punish suspects.
