Unknown assailants Gunned Down a Taliban member in Kabul Province

RASC News Agency: According to credible sources within Kabul Province, unidentified individuals recently carried out the killing of a Taliban member in the narrow passage of Pol-e Charkhi within the province. Sources disclosed to the media on Wednesday, Mar 6, that the deceased Taliban member held an active position within the Defense Ministry’s ranks of the group and was assassinated last Saturday.

It is worth noting that the targeted killings of Taliban members are not unprecedented, as previously witnessed in several provinces across the country, where members of this group have fallen victim to unknown assailants. In a prior incident, a guardian of a Taliban commander in Faryab Province succumbed to death at the hands of unidentified individuals while tending to his garden. The widespread dissemination of such news has sparked considerable apprehension among high-ranking officials of the Taliban.

Despite the Taliban’s assertions of ensuring the security of people’s lives and properties under their governance of the country, reports of targeted attacks on their own members contradict these claims. Meanwhile, citizens from various cities have voiced concerns about the escalating trend of theft and crime, contending that the Taliban’s slogans have failed to mitigate crime and violence as promised.
