RASC News Agency: According to local sources in Jowzjan province, the Taliban group executed a murder suspect in the city of Sheberghan, the provincial capital. Sources informed the media that this verdict was carried out on Monday morning, Feb 26, in a stadium in Sheberghan, with the approval of Mullah Hibatullah Akhundzada, the leader of the Taliban group.
Reportedly, the Taliban group in Jowzjan province has prohibited anyone from filming the process of the murder suspect’s execution. The Supreme Court of the Taliban group confirmed this news through a press release and identified the murder suspect as Nazar Mohammad, son of Amanullah. In its statement, the Taliban Supreme Court mentioned that Nazar Mohammad had murdered a man named Khal Mohammad, son of Abdulai, two years ago using a knife.
The local administration of the Taliban group in Jowzjan issued a call to the province’s residents yesterday, requesting their presence at the stadium to witness the execution of one individual. This incident is not the first instance of executions carried out by the Taliban group. In the latest incident, the group executed two murder suspects in a stadium in Ghazni province.
It is noteworthy that the violation of human rights and the use of public executions by the Taliban group have triggered widespread domestic and international reactions. Nevertheless, the group persists in carrying out such actions unabated.
