RASC News Agency: A 20-year-old Afghanistani youth named Abdul Basir Safary, from Takhar province, drowned in the waters of Bulgaria during his journey to Europe. A source from among the diplomats at the Afghanistan embassy in Bulgaria informed the media on Wednesday, February 14th, that the young man had drowned in the country’s waters approximately two months ago.

Meanwhile, Abdul Basir’s family in Takhar has informed the media that his body has been handed over to them, adding that they are scheduled to lay Abdul Basir’s body to rest tomorrow Thursday, February 15th.

Previously, reports of such incidents have surfaced in the media, indicating that Afghanistani youth have lost their lives on perilous smuggling routes. It is noteworthy that following the Taliban’s takeover in Afghanistan, the migration rate of citizens of this country to neighboring countries in pursuit of reaching European nations has increased.
