RASC News Agency: According to reports from Pakistani media, Islamabad has decided not to send any representatives to attend the regional meeting in Kabul. Instead, Obaidul Rahman Nizamani, the charge d’affaires of the Pakistani embassy in Kabul, will be present as the country’s representative in this meeting, scheduled to take place today, January 29th, in Kabul. This information was shared by Pakistani journalist Tahir Khan, who stated that Asif Khan Durrani, the special representative of Pakistan, will not be participating in the meeting of the special representatives of neighboring countries and the region in Kabul.
The news about this regional meeting has been made public following reports from Pakistani media on January 28th. These reports stated that the contact group’s regional meeting, with the participation of special representatives from Iran, China, Russia, and Pakistan, will be held in Kabul today, January 29th.
Meanwhile, an official from the Taliban has confirmed the presence of special representatives from these four countries in a conversation with the Pakistan Daily newspaper. The official also mentioned that representatives from other countries will be participating in the upcoming meetings of the contact group in Kabul. This development indicates that Islamabad has lost interest in engaging in dialogue with the Taliban group, and recent statements from Pakistani officials regarding Afghanistan further highlight the tension between them and the Taliban group.
