RASC News Agency: Local sources in Kapisa have reported the arrest of a woman by the Taliban after she was gang-raped by five men, one of whom is alleged to be a member of the Taliban. According to these sources, the victim, a 35-year-old woman, endured a harrowing assault perpetrated by five individuals, including a Taliban operative identified as “Mail Agha.” The attack took place on Friday, November 22, at her home in Oruki village, Kapisa Province.

It has been revealed that the perpetrators are relatives of the woman’s husband. Following the assault, the woman’s cries for help prompted locals to notify the Taliban. In response, Taliban forces arrested one of the attackers, identified as “Shirin Khan,” while the other four suspects managed to escape. In addition to Shirin Khan, two other members of the woman’s husband’s family were subsequently detained by the Taliban. According to a source, the assault was orchestrated under the leadership of a Taliban member. Despite the gravity of the incident, Taliban authorities in Kapisa have not issued any statements regarding the gang rape or the detention of the suspects.

This incident is the latest in a string of allegations implicating Taliban members in sexual violence against women. Reports of such abuses, particularly in Taliban-controlled areas and detention facilities, have raised widespread concerns about the group’s treatment of women and systemic failures in addressing such crimes.
