RASC News Agency: The political deputy of the Taliban group recently underscored the group’s dedication to education in religious schools. In a meeting with the Council of Scholars and teachers of religious schools in Kabul, Mawlawi Abdul Kabir highlighted the Taliban’s particular focus on the education and construction of religious schools in Afghanistan. This information was disseminated in a newsletter published on January 2nd by the Citadel, under the control of the Taliban group.

Mawlawi Abdul Kabir further expounded that the Taliban group actively participates in the Ministry of Education’s initiatives to enhance religious schools. He noted significant progress in developing the curriculum for these religious schools and fostering increased collaboration with them across different regions of the country. The Taliban’s emphasis on religious education underscores their commitment to shaping the educational landscape in Afghanistan.

Emphasizing the importance of expanding religious schools to provide education for all students, Mawlawi Abdul Kabir stressed the need for students to receive instruction in modern sciences alongside religious teachings. Despite the Taliban’s control over the country, the number of religious schools has significantly increased in various provinces. Daily reports highlight the group’s ongoing construction of more religious schools.

Furthermore, the Ministry of Education within the Taliban group has taken action by announcing plans to build approximately 10 religious schools in each district of the country. It has been reported that the group has repurposed numerous educational and military facilities into religious schools. These efforts underscore the Taliban’s commitment to expanding the availability of religious education throughout the nation.
