RASC News Agency: Mohammad Yaquob Mujahid, the interim Minister of the Taliban’s Ministry of Defense, has recently asserted that foreigners, notably citizens of Tajikistan and Pakistan, are involved in the assaults on “mosques, madrasas, religious schools, and religious scholars” in Afghanistan. These statements were delivered by Mujahid during a session in Kabul on Sunday, December 31. He further mentioned that over the past 12 months, the Taliban have killed dozens of Tajikistan citizens on various charges and detained hundreds more.
According to Mohammad Yaquob Mujahid, “certain malicious circles aim to instill concerns about Afghanistan to reap financial benefits for their nefarious objectives.” The Taliban official added that the United Nations and some organizations consider the reports from these “malicious circles” to be “false.” In this session, the interim Minister of the Taliban’s Ministry of Defense announced the implementation of “rigorous security measures” in the country, emphasizing the Taliban’s unwavering commitment to the “general amnesty” mandated by their leader.
However, this Taliban official stated their expectation that regional countries, especially Tajikistan and Pakistan, rigorously control their land and airspace borders. It’s noteworthy that Mujahid made these statements at a time when regional countries, particularly Tajikistan and Pakistan, have repeatedly expressed concerns about the presence of terrorist groups in Afghanistan under Taliban control.
Imam Ali Rahman, the President of Tajikistan, expressed profound concerns about the current situation in Afghanistan, the Middle East, and Palestine in his recent statements. He urged the global community to resolve conflicts in countries through negotiation and dialogue.
