RASC News Agency: The director of the Cooperative, Labor, and Social Welfare Department in Saveh declared that hiring foreign nationals without work permits and involvement in unauthorized activities are strictly prohibited in any business within this county. Mohammad Reza Naderi elucidated that the directive, forbidding the employment of individuals lacking permits in this county, is grounded in the decision of the county’s employment working group. According to this decision, employing individuals without a valid card or assigning them to a position not specified on the work card constitutes a violation.
He added, “In line with the resolutions of this working group, the enforcement of Articles 120 and 181 of the Labor Law is underscored, and non-compliant employers will incur penalties pursuant to section ‘c’ of Article 11 in the regulations governing a portion of the government’s financial regulations.” This development follows IRNA’s earlier report on a meeting at the provincial Coordination Base, where “Hassan Khanjani Moqaddam” from the Public and Revolution Prosecutor’s Office in Hamedan province highlighted the illicit presence of foreigners, linking it to an escalation in crime, violence, social disruption, and potential threats to the economy.
He expressed, “Certain employers and at times housing foundations, by opting for foreign workers over Iranian counterparts, evade the oversight of the Department of Labor, Cooperation, and Social Welfare, as well as other relevant authorities, constituting a criminal act.” It is noteworthy that recent times have witnessed an augmentation in restrictions on the lives of Afghanistani nationals in Iran. The country has intensified the identification and expulsion of these individuals, reportedly deporting approximately a thousand migrants from Iran on a daily basis.
