RASC News Agency: The local Taliban authorities in Nangarhar province have confirmed that an explosion involving an unexploded mine from past conflicts and a verbal dispute between two families in the province led to injuries for four individuals, including a child. The Taliban security command in Nangarhar province issued a press release on Tuesday, December 12th, outlining the first incident that unfolded in the “Zawla Kadala” area in Khogiani district.

Hafiz Abdul Basir Zabuli, the security commander of the Taliban in Nangarhar province, elucidated that the explosion of an unexploded war-related munition resulted in severe injuries to a child named Shekib. Additionally, local Taliban officials in Nangarhar province reported another incident where three individuals, including a woman, sustained injuries due to a verbal dispute between two families in the “Dara-e-Noor” district.

Crucially, it is imperative to acknowledge that similar incidents have transpired in various provinces across the country, leading to a notable number of children being either injured or killed by remnants of war ammunition. Moreover, verbal disputes within families have claimed the lives of citizens, especially women. In the most recent occurrence, a physical altercation between two families in the “Bagrupati” area of the “Kantiwa” district in Nuristan province resulted in the fatality of a woman. These incidents are frequently attributed to a lack of public awareness and the protracted conflict that has afflicted the nation for several decades.
