RASC News Agency: The Ministry of Education of the Taliban group has recently announced their plans to construct 13 new religious schools in just two districts of Daykundi province. This comes as part of the group’s ongoing efforts to prioritize the establishment of religious educational institutions throughout the country. According to a message released by the Ministry on December 9th, these religious schools will be built in the Khedir and Eshterli districts of Daykundi province. The Ministry has identified 10 potential locations in Khedir district and three in Eshterli district for the construction of these religious schools.
Despite the Taliban’s focus on building religious schools, it is important to note that they have imposed restrictions on women and girls, prohibiting them from attending schools, universities, and educational centers. This contradiction raises concerns among experts who believe that the indiscriminate construction of religious schools serves as a means for the Taliban to further their own ideology and shape the mindset of young individuals according to their own desires. Many of these schools reportedly teach extremist lessons, allowing the group to propagate their beliefs among the Afghanistani population.
It is worth mentioning that the acting minister of education of the Taliban group recently stated that they plan to build three to ten religious schools in each district of Afghanistan. Additionally, the group is actively working on revising the school curriculum. These developments highlight the Taliban’s commitment to reshaping the educational landscape of the country in line with their own religious and ideological principles.
