RASC News Agency: Ahmad Massoud, the leader of the National Resistance Front of Afghanistan, expressed his concerns during the third meeting in Vienna. He emphasized the significance of this gathering and the unity among the opponents of the Taliban group. Massoud urged everyone to set aside their differences, formalities, and distances in order to come together.
During the meeting, Massoud highlighted the achievements of the resistance battles, particularly the agreement and consensus reached by all participants regarding the crisis in Afghanistan. He emphasized that the alternative to the Taliban group should not be determined by individuals but rather through dialogue among Afghanistani citizens.
Massoud further emphasized that the replacement of the Taliban group should involve the active participation of all Afghanistani citizens. He stressed the importance of considering the Taliban group as part of the overall process. According to him, reforming the ruling group or forming an all-inclusive government will not solve the problem. He also expressed concerns about the curriculum taught in schools, stating that it may foster terrorist ideologies.
It is worth noting that the holding of such meetings has faced opposition from the Taliban group. Shir Mohammad Abbas Stanikzai, the deputy foreign minister of the Taliban, deemed these meetings illegal. Additionally, some officials from the Taliban group expressed their concerns, stating that the enemy still poses a threat.
The third meeting of the opponents of the Taliban group commenced in Vienna on December 3rd and will continue for three days. The gathering includes various political and civil figures from Afghanistan, as well as Ahmad Massoud, the leader of the National Resistance Front.
