RASC News Agency: According to sources in Nimruz province, the Taliban group, in the course of their persistent detainment of Panjshiri residents, recently apprehended a former government military official and four non-military Panjshiri individuals upon their return from Iran to the province. Sources on Saturday, December 2, informed the media that these five individuals, who had recently crossed the border from Iran with the intention of reaching Kabul, were identified and detained by Taliban group intelligence.
The sources disclosed the names of these five individuals as Bismillah, Abdul Rahman, Mohammad Wasim, Idris, underscoring that Bismillah is a former military member of the previous government. All the detained individuals are reported to be native residents of the Onabah district in Panjshir province.
According to sources, the precise reason for the Taliban’s intelligence detaining these five individuals remains unclear, and their fate remains unknown. This development occurs in the context of the Taliban group having previously detained, tortured, and in some instances, executed former government officials and Panjshiri residents across various provinces of the country.
It is noteworthy that despite the Taliban Group’s assertion of a general amnesty by their leader since their assumption of power, they have persisted in the arrest, torture, and, in some cases, killing of former government military officials. Moreover, it is essential to highlight that since ascending to power, the Taliban have implemented exceedingly violent and suppressive measures against the residents of Panjshir province.
