RASC News Agency: Local sources and Taliban officials have reported five traffic incidents in Nangarhar, Herat, Nimroz, and Jawzjan provinces, resulting in three deaths and 13 injuries. The first incident occurred on November 30th in Nangarhar province, where a woman died and three others were injured after a speeding car hit a tree in Ghani Khil district. In Herat province, on November 28th, a truck ran over an old man on the border of Islam Qala, resulting in his death. Six people were injured in a collision between two Saracha-type cars on the Herat-Islam Qala highway, with two of them in serious condition.
Simultaneously, two people were injured in the overturning of a Luxel-type vehicle on the Herat-Kandahar highway, both of whom were residents of Nimroz province. Finally, on November 29th, one person died and two were injured in a passenger car overturning incident in Jawzjan province.
The increase in traffic incidents in different provinces of the country has been attributed to several factors, including non-observance of traffic rules, narrow and dilapidated roads, and the recklessness of drivers. The government and relevant authorities must take further steps to address these issues and ensure the safety of all road users.
The loss of life and injuries resulting from these traffic incidents are a tragic reminder of the importance of road safety. It is crucial that drivers and pedestrians alike take responsibility for their actions on the road and adhere to traffic rules. Additionally, the government must prioritize road infrastructure development and invest in road safety measures to prevent further accidents. By working together, we can create a safer and more secure environment for all road users in Afghanistan.
