RASC News Agency: The Ministry of Emergency Situations of Kyrgyzstan announced on Monday, November 27th, that they will be sending humanitarian aid packages to the victims of the Herat earthquake as part of their ongoing international humanitarian efforts. This decision was made under the order of the president of Kyrgyzstan, demonstrating their commitment to providing assistance to those in need.
According to a report from the Kyrgyz state media, the Ministry of Emergency Situations expressed their sympathy towards the people of Afghanistan and extended their condolences to the families of the victims. They also wished a speedy recovery to those who were injured in the earthquake.
The aid provided by Kyrgyzstan will include 100 tons of food, as well as winter clothes, shoes, and sanitary products. These supplies are specifically targeted at women and children who have been affected by the earthquake in Herat. The Ministry of Emergency Situations has assured that aid will soon arrive in Afghanistan to provide much-needed support to the earthquake victims. This announcement comes in the wake of other countries also offering humanitarian aid to assist the victims of the Herat earthquake. Turkey has already sent its humanitarian aid packages to the affected areas.
Despite the international efforts to provide assistance, concerns about the condition of the earthquake victims in Herat have been growing, especially with the arrival of winter. Reports indicate that many of these victims still lack access to basic necessities and are in a critical situation. The severity of the earthquake, followed by subsequent mild tremors, has resulted in significant casualties and financial losses for the residents of Herat province.
It is important to note that earlier reports suggested that the aid provided to these victims was not distributed fairly, with allegations that the Taliban group had control over the distribution process and that a significant portion of the aid was wasted.
