RASC News Agency: Officials in the Logar Education Department have announced the construction of a school funded by an individual in the province, with a cost of one million Kabuli Rupees. According to the information received, this school, constructed by Mohammad Akbar Atal from Pol-e Alam, the central city of Logar province, was inaugurated on Monday, November 27. Shahpur Arab, the spokesperson for the Logar Education Department, stated that this building, named “Noman bin Sabit School” in the “Bedak” area of Pol-e Alam city, is now in service for the public. Mr. Arab added that with the construction of this school, 200 students who were previously deprived of education can now receive education in this facility.
The spokesperson for the Logar Education Department mentioned that the school building is constructed on three acres of land and includes a courtyard, four classrooms, and an administrative room. Mohammad Akbar Atal, speaking to the media, mentioned that he is reconstructing several other schools in this city and other districts of the province, providing free education to underprivileged girls and boys in remote areas. It is noteworthy that the spokesperson for the Logar Education Department did not specify whether among these 200 students, girls are also included or if only boys will receive education in this school.
This development occurs as individuals in several provinces of the country had previously constructed schools and educational centers with their personal budgets, putting them into service for the public. It should be mentioned that after the Taliban took control in Afghanistan, the country’s educational sector faced serious challenges, with the group primarily focusing its attention on the construction of schools.
