RASC News Agency: In the ongoing series of perplexing and deliberate assassinations carried out by unidentified armed individuals in various provinces of the nation, reports from local sources in one particular province indicate that two religious scholars have been shot by unknown gunmen. According to sources from Herat province, these two religious scholars were targeted and shot early on Thursday, November 23rd, in the Jibrail area, which is located near the center of Herat city. The scholars have been identified as Sheikh Rajab Akhlaqi and Khadim Hussain Hedayati. The assailants, riding motorcycles, opened fire on them in front of the “Said Al Shuhada” mosque in the Jibrail area.

The motive behind the killing of these religious scholars in Herat province remains unclear, and the Taliban group, which operates in this province, has not yet provided any statement regarding this incident. It is worth noting that there has been a significant rise in the number of mysterious and targeted killings carried out by unidentified armed individuals in several provinces of the country. It is evident that the Taliban group has failed to ensure the safety and security of the Afghanistani people. Despite their claims of providing security after taking control of the country, reports of mysterious and targeted killings continue to emerge from all corners. This further highlights the challenges faced by the nation in maintaining stability and protecting its citizens.

In numerous instances, citizens of the country have accused members of the Taliban group of committing acts of killing and murder against their fellow citizens. However, the Taliban group maintains that their actions are aimed at ensuring the security of the country.
