RASC News Agency: In the ongoing series of perplexing and deliberate assassinations carried out by unidentified armed individuals in various provinces of the nation, reports from local sources in one particular province indicate that two religious scholars have been shot by unknown gunmen. According to sources from Herat province, these two religious scholars were targeted and shot early on Thursday, November 23rd, in the Jibrail area, which is located near the center of Herat city. The scholars have been identified as Sheikh Rajab Akhlaqi and Khadim Hussain Hedayati. The assailants, riding motorcycles, opened fire on them in front of the “Said Al Shuhada” mosque in the Jibrail area.
The motive behind the killing of these religious scholars in Herat province remains unclear, and the Taliban group, which operates in this province, has not yet provided any statement regarding this incident.
