RASC News Agency: Local sources from Takhar province report the discovery of a man’s body in Taloqan, the provincial capital. A credible source from Takhar Provincial Hospital stated on Tuesday, June 4, that the body was found on the preceding Sunday in the “Shahrowan” irrigation canal in the “Zargari” area of Taloqan city.

According to the source, the man’s identity and relatives remain unknown. He had been strangled with a rope, leading to his death. Additionally, local Taliban officials in Takhar have yet to make any statements regarding the incident. Since the Taliban seized control of the country, reports of discovered bodies and mysterious, targeted killings have surged across various provinces.

In one such case last night, unknown gunmen shot and killed two employees of a private contracting company working on the Qush Tepa project in Jowzjan province. Many of these killings in various provinces are attributed to “unknown armed individuals” and are not pursued further. It’s worth noting that these reports surface amidst the Taliban’s constant claims that nationwide security has been established, ensuring the safety of citizens’ lives and properties.
